Sith Happens was first created in September 2006, hosted then by my good friend Lia of Call It Desperation. I spent a lovely six months there with Lia, before regrettably deciding to close. I had lost all inspiration to make art, and wasn't updating, so I didn't see much point. But after only a few weeks I found it almost impossible not to have a website, so I created Faded Memories, which served as my writing portfolio. It hosted all of my worthy fan fictions, and for a time, it hosted my art as well. But I began to use it more for an artfolio than a writing portfolio, so, in the hopes that I would start to write some more, I decided to reopen Sith Happens on August 09, 2007. Sith Happens is now hosted by my very talented, dear friend, Meliane of Headlock.ws. I am absolutely thrilled to be hosted at Headlock, and to be part of the very talented Headlock family. Thank you Mel!
The name "Sith Happens" is purely Star Wars, and nothing but Star Wars. I do not claim to own the name "Sith Happens" but because I am such a Warsie, I thought it would be a good tribute to the fandom that takes up so much of my life. I got the idea for the name "Sith Happens" from a photoshoot where Hayden Christensen wore a t-shirt that read "Sith Happens". I thought this suited my website because of its connection to Star Wars and Hayden Christensen.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Jodi and I am a 18 year old female from rural Alberta, Canada. Until very recently I lived in the same place all my life, outside of a town so small it had no street lights. The people who were in my grade at school had been mostly the same people since kindergarten, which made them more like family than anything, and also made me dislike (and like) a lot of them greatly.
I have a strange obsession with a number of things, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Hayden Christensen. I have followed the Harry Potter books freakishly, treating them more like a religion than anything else in my life. Star Wars is similar, but not quite as crazy. I don't know those movies off by heart. I have, however, read a small handful of the books, though I am very much behind. I love everything to do with Hayden Christensen and own (nearly) all of his movies, excluding Shattered Glass and Virgin Territory (which I have no desire to see).
Writing is my passion, and I hope to become a published author one day, though that isn't likely to happen if I don't actually start said novel. Recently I have been mostly writing Harry Potter fan fiction, though you may find the occasional poem as well.
I have been creating graphic art for about three and a half to four years, and have been publishing it on the web for three years. My favourite subject is Hayden Christensen, though there is little evidence of that here.
My likes have a wide range, starting at the color purple and playing the violin, and ending in Josh Groban and strawberries. I love fruit, much more than veggies (though cauliflower is an exception that rule), and would rather eat any other kind of meat than seafood. I am a bit of a hypocrite in that I get angry at people who download movies illegally from the internet, but I download songs from Limewire occassionally. I love my iPod and would not function normally without it. I would love to own an Apple computer, because they are amazing. I hope to (one day) travel Europe and Africa (but not so much Asia...well, maybe one of the smaller countries) including the Auschwitz concentration camp, because I believe that is the best way to make sure it dosen't happen again (or rather, stops happening). By the end of my school career I will probably have a diploma in graphic design and film, which is love. I love film soundtracks. I will move to a "big city" for at least a small amount of time to experience that feeling. I realize now that leaving my family is nearing, how precious they are. I miss Papa more everyday. I still don't enjoy living on my own, but it has taken an adjustment to live at home again for Christmas. I don't handle stress easily, and penny pinch alot, even if I would love to spend all my money in one place.
I'm sure I could go on forever, but I'm not going to. So if you would like to get to know me better, feel free to email me, or message me on the cbox!
